Phase 2 started – getting our new workshop facility in order before we take delivery of our equipment! Thanks to WDC Decorating www.wdc-decorating.co.uk who are in painting our cranes and safety lines this week. They were even kind enough to pose for photos.
Our latest regional sales manager hire, Amanda Piscitelli recently completed her first quarter working with the company. Joining us back in June 2017 with responsibility for our commercial operations in Ireland and Scotland, she has used her 22 years of sales experience to quickly establish MEV with customers in those areas.
Amanda joined Weir Engineering Services (now known as SPX) immediately upon leaving school and worked there for twenty years. During her time there she held a number of roles on the commercial side of the business. By the time she left the company Amanda worked as a Sales Analyst and was directly supporting the Global Aftermarket sales director.
Upon leaving SPX in 2015 Amanda moved on to work for Flowserve as a Sales Engineer responsible for the areas of Scotland & Ireland, spending two years there until June 2017, when she joined our growing commercial team.
Reflecting on her experience working with us so far, Amanda had this to say; ‘Almost three months has passed since I joined MEV and am delighted to be part of the team. It is a real breath of fresh air to work with such a forward-thinking company with their ‘can do’ attitude. I feel really motivated and excited for what the future holds.’
Congratulations to our apprentice engineer, Connor Littlejohn, on completing a successful first year of his placement. We have enjoyed working with Connor and look forward to an equally productive second year with him as part of the team.
Since joining us in 2016, Connor has settled in quickly and proven to be a very welcome addition. He brings with him a natural talent for engineering as well as bringing fresh ideas, helping us to continually improve upon our working practices whilst nurturing his growth within the engineering industry
Zillah Doyle, Director of Mechanical Engineering Ventures explains; “One of our core values as a company is to support the development of the next generation of UK engineers. The positive experience we’ve had working with Connor so far is testament to both the talent that can be found in the upcoming generation as well as the benefits of providing the opportunity. As we look to the future, we are hoping to create more opportunities for apprentice engineers to gain experience working within our industry-leading team”.
